| Behind every successful camp is a driving force of motivated and hardworking people who believe in what they do and love every minute of it. They are responsible for making your experience at camp a pleasurable one and leaving the “dirty work” up to the trainers who know their job isn’t done until you feel the burn! | |

DirectorHuenu Solsona (pronounced Whe-noo) has been involved in sports since the age of 3 when she joined the local snow ski school in her birth town of Esquel in the Patagonia of Argentina. By the tender age of 10, she took home the title of National Snow Ski Champion and continued to ski and snowboard for the rest of her life. Her family emigrated to South Africa in 1990 and she was soon South African Snow Ski Champion (there is snow somewhere in this country!), Northern Transvaal Volleyball Captain and Western Province Volleyball member. Her sports involvements were quite varied… from volleyball, gymnastics, softball, hockey and tennis to rock-climbing, bungy jumping and sky-diving! Huenu lived in Canada where she got her qualifications through NESTA as a Personal Trainer, Core Conditioning Specialist and Fitness Boot Camp Instructor. She brought the fitness boot camp concept to South Africa when she returned to Cape Town in 2005. For Huenu, “living each day like it was your last” is a motto she has always strived to live by. She believes in making each day count and putting your plans into action… today! Her true concern for the mental and physical wellbeing of others are what drive her actions and goals for ABC. |

Financial ManagerSusan Racz knows how to get the job done and describes herself as easy going but at times serious and to the point, which makes her the perfect Financial Manager. Born in Suffolk, England she’s more South African now having lived here since the age of four. Numbers and mastering cryptic mathematical puzzles is what drives her to be the best in her field. Growing up Susan loved to play tennis and piano, reading Dean R Koontz books and roller-skating. Her keen interest in healthy living is what brought her to ABC as well as the fact that it’s a place to exercise with other like-minded women. She has one daughter and loves to spend time with her family. When she manages to get some alone time, she enjoys walking, reading, scrapping, painting, and socialising with friends. As a keen traveler she hopes to spend time with her father and daughter in England, Hungary and Denmark in the not so distant future. As a motto she lives by remembering tomorrow is a new day and anything can be fixed so don’t stress. Make the best of every day, eat a combination of all the food groups, exercise even when you don’t feel like it and have a good sleep pattern. Love, laugh, cry and together you have the mixture of a great life. Surround yourself with great, kind, intellectual people that are driven and passionate about life. |

Cape Town Camp Manager & Admin ManagerJackie Alexander is ABC's best-kept secret! There is nothing Jackie doesn’t know about ABC. Not only is she always smiling but she is quick to sort out any campers queries. Jackie fell in love with the Adventure Boot Camp concept immediately when joining as a boot camper herself at the WP Cricket Club in November 2006. At the time, Jackie was a stay-at-home mom and it was her love for the outdoors that inspired her to take up the position at ABC. Far from her previous career in the insurance industry that spanned 12 years, Jackie’s kind and loving nature and great sense of humor is what makes working with her such a great pleasure. Her role includes taking care of all the administrative tasks related to ABC’s Cape Town camps including registrations, web enquiries and phone calls. |

Gauteng Camp ManagerFaith Meyer describes herself as a creative ball of laughter that was catapulted from the sky and is convinced that she's meant to lead a life that is far from normal. Aiming to share joy wherever she goes, she has travelled to places like London, Zambia and Lesotho but she has lived in Cape Town for most of her life. Her interest in all things ‘adventure’ goes as far back as 2007, where she attended a one year adventure course in Port Alfred, exploring leadership, outdoor sports and biblical studies. In 2010 she managed and facilitated over 100 camps in Durban and performed all outdoor activities such as rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, hiking, rafting and more. Her journey has brought her to Adventure Boot Camp as she loves the outdoor life and remaining active! Never one for academics, Faith is drawn more to the creative and practical process of doing things rather than sitting with books. However, she has developed a keen interest in Graphic Design. She is inspired by originality, authenticity and anything out of the ordinary. What she loves about ABC is that the importance of life and health is shared within ABC and she feels this will contribute to her adventure on this planet.

Gauteng Camp ManagerDebbie Jacobs is a single mother to a beautiful daughter and resides in Woodstock in Cape Town. She is friendly, a little shy but can sometimes be very outgoing. Her mother inspires her in everything she does and she considers her to be the most talented and giving woman she has ever known. Working at ABC is something she loves because of the positive impact it has on women both physically and mentally and the role she plays in helping to change their lives. When Debbie is not at work she loves to read, watch movies and eat dinner with her friends and family. Rudeness really get her blood boiling and the way she handles stress is by always keeping in mind that bad things never last forever and that it’s good to try and forget about it quickly to avoid any long term physical and emotional effects. One thing most people wouldn’t know about her is that she is addicted to beauty products. Advice she gives to campers when they ask about losing weight and getting fit is to do it for you and not for anyone else – it’s the only way! Her secret to living a healthy and happy lifestyle is to treat your body with respect as it’s the only one you have. |

National Camp Manager (excluding Gauteng)Jade Levendal is a strong, independent people’s person. She is innovative, enthusiastic, talkative and hard working. Her inspiration is her mother, whom she says is the light of her life and she absolutely loves latin and ballroom dancing, as well as swimming. When not at work she treasures the time she spends with her husband and her son, Mason. Jade sees coming to Adventure Boot Camp as a welcome challenge and a chance to grow as a person and learn new things. She believes that once you put your mind to something, there’s nothing to stop you from achieving your dreams. Her secret to living a happy lifestyle is to do everything with a healthy mind and emphasize a good amount of self control - it is this thinking that makes her an asset to ABC, along with her quiet, productive way in which she deals with stress. Already qualified in Public Relations, Small Business management and entrepreneurship, Jade did not stop there and began her Business Management and Administration Diploma in July 2011. |

Telling from the big smile she has on her face every day at work, we know she is very happy to be here! For Laura, the best part of belonging to the ABC family is knowing she is a part of an organisation that is instrumental in improving the lives of so many women, bringing about many positive mental and physical changes. Laura is a single mother, which she believes has given her the edge to face life’s challenges head on. Some of her biggest life lessons have been learnt parenting her son.
